Sue Johansen-Hoffman, LCSW

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, CLINICAL SERVICES


With over two decades of experience supporting families in crisis, Sue Johansen-Hoffman has worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings, including child-abuse shelters, women’s substance-abuse programs, and residential treatment centers. She has held leadership roles as an outreach worker, program director, and executive director, and has long specialized in helping adolescents who have experienced trauma and abuse.

At Vivid Safe House, Sue brings clinical expertise, steadiness, and heart to every student interaction. She plays a key role in helping teens stabilize emotionally while guiding families through periods of intense and often urgent transition.

Sue holds a bachelor’s degree in Family and Human Studies, a master’s in Social Work, and is a licensed clinical social worker. When she’s not working, you can find her bird watching along Utah’s migratory paths or enjoying her favorite indulgence: chocolate.
