Kirk Simon, Ph.D.

CONSULTING PSYCHIATRIST


Dr. Simon is a triple board-certified psychiatrist in pediatrics, child and adolescent psychiatry, and adult psychiatry. He earned his undergraduate degree from Creighton University, followed by medical training at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the University of Utah.

Throughout his career, Dr. Simon has presented on a range of topics including eating disorders, somatization disorders, and complex diagnoses in children and families. In 2003, he was honored as Nominee of the Year, and in both 2005 and 2012, he was recognized as Teacher of the Year by the triple board and child psychiatry residents.

Dr. Simon takes a holistic, strength-based approach to working with students, with a focus on fostering resilience and long-term growth. While he once spent his free time mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, and exploring photography, most of his adventures now involve raising his two young sons.
